Pulling my hair out

[ Edited ]

I've been trying to set my new harmony one remote to work with my devices but having a problem. Everytime i click play xbmc in my activities my tv turns to right input, my av reciever turns on and selects right input and htpc turns on but when i select watch tv in my activities my xbox 360 turns on too. Why would this happen.

Does using the original remotes cause the same problem?

No, its strange as my xbmc (htpc media centre)  activity has nothing to do with my xbox360 but when i select watch tv, my tv selects the right input and goes back to my tv channels but for some unkown reason my xbox 360 turns on.

Re: Pulling my hair out

I would re-create your Watch TV activity, this time select the second option to create the activity manually

That does not help, evertime i tun my htpc off to another activity the xbox turns on even though i've not selected it. Just can understand why.

I would then contact Logitech support, request Tier 2 support, and have them look at your Config, there is something wrong

Re: Pulling my hair out

In the xbox device config, go to more options, adjust power settings and select this device has seperate on and off commands, or something to that effect.

Alternately, manually turn on your xbox before changing activities, then everything will be back in sync.

Typically each activity will turn off everything that's not in the current activity. Your xbox has gotten out of sync with the power state tracking on harmony. So when the activity send a power toggle to turn it off, it's turning on instead. My first solution is a permanent fix, my second is a temporary fix.

I don't see that option at all in xbox setting/ajust power setting, all i get is the following.

Setting Up Your Microsoft Xbox 360 Game Console (With DVD)

I want to leave this device on all the time

I want to turn off this device when it's not in use

There are no power buttons on my current remote for my Microsoft Xbox 360 Game Console (With DVD).

Almost there, the options I'm talking about are on the next screen after that one. There, you want to pick the bottom option "... a button for on and a different button for off", then after that pick Power On and Power Off. But the top or bottom option on the screen you posted will keep harmony from ever turning your xbox on or off, if that's what you want.

Re: Pulling my hair out

All that did is stop my xbox from powering up when i press play xbox in my activities. When i click play xbmc in the activities my xbox still powered on. So i pressed the power button on the 360 and turned it off but when i went from my xbmc activity to watch tv the xbox turned on.

If the xbox is off when i start my xbmc activity it will power on and if i power the xbox on before is start my xbmc activity the xbox will go off.
