Hi everybody! I'm new here having just bought my first Harmony One+. I'm looking forward to communicating with all you knowelageable folks.
I am getting to know my new tech but I have one question to start off. I have set up an activity to watch my Satellite box. When I select Satelite on the remote it swiches on the TV and the the amp but dos not swich on the satellite box. If I go through pressing the help sequence it turns on the satellite box ok. However when I select Satellite next time I have the same problem. I thought that having gone through the help sequence and turned on the box that the remote would save and remember the correct settings.
Any advice most welcome!

Using the Help buttons does not make any changes to your remote setup, it only gets you back in sync. There are two settings that may have to be changes. Inter-device delay for your satellite box, or the Repeats settings for your satellite box. If you are using MyHarmony.com to program your remote, there is no way of increasing the repeats, this would have to be done by Harmony support. If you are using the stand alone 7.7 software, you can make this adjustment yourself. Let me know what you are using to program your remote, MyHarmony.com of the 7.7 software, and I will advise further.

Thanks for your response!
I am using myharmony.com as it was the only instruction that came with the new remote!

I would recommend downloading the stand alone 7.7 software, you can download it here You will have to program your remote over from scratch, but it will give you a lot more control over your setup

When I go to that link it takes me to software version 7.8 not 7.7. Is it OK to use 7.8? Also before I use the software to programme the remote do I have to reset the remote to avoid any conflicts with the existing settings?

Thanks rhachey! I have done that and now have the software installed on my MAC. I am concerned that if I try to use the software on my Harmony one it may cause some sort of conflict as I have already set it up using the internet option. Can you give me any advice on that please?

MyHarmony and the 7.7/7.8 software are completely independent and will require a new login. When you use the stand-alone software you will have to start from scratch. Your old MyHarmony config will still work if you decide to go back, but changes on one will not be carried over to the other. All logins are independent, and changes only go one-way: from the web to the remote, never from the remote to the web. So whatever config you load from whatever account wipes out the previous one on the remote. I use several accounts for the same remote for sharing codes, troubleshooting and testing purposes. It works fine.
