Greetings.
I have a Harmony 890 and one of the devices it controls is a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8240HDC Cable box.
It has been successfully controlling this cable box for as long as I've had it (maybe a couple of years) without incident. I use the wireless extender on this device.
Recently my cable service provider (Cox) did a major software upgrade to this box.
For the most part everything still works, but I'm getting some strange intermittent behavior involving the up/down/left/right arrows.
When going through one of the on-screen menus, sometimes, but not all the time, they will start advancing the cursor twice in whatever direction I tell it (it behaves like I hit the button twice).
There is no discernible rhyme or reason as to when this happens. Sometimes it's right away. Other times it starts off single advancing and then starts double advancing. Once it starts double advancing it will do it for a while and then go back to single advancing. Or not (at which point I give up and pull out the remote for that device).
I've tried adjusting the sensitivity of the device down to 0; no joy.
I've tried learning the IR codes; no joy.
At this point I'm stumped. Any help would be much appreciated.

In the software, select the device tab, select your cable box, select Troubleshoot, select responds too much or not enough, then lower the repeats.

Thanks rhachey, but that's what I meant when I said I tried lowering the sensitivity.
I wound up giving tech support a call today (and some cash) and they helped me. Well, it's a lot better (not perfect but acceptable) now anyway.
