Harmony Remotes

Hey there...

My new Harmony 700 will be arriving soon and wanted to check in here and see if I could get some tips on getting things set up so that everything goes smoothly... 

Here are my devices:

- Pioneer PDP-5020FD Plasma TV

- Pioneer VSX-1020-K Receiver

- Comcast Motorola HD DVR

- Playstation 3

- Logitech Harmony Adapter for PlayStation 3

- Wii

Recommendations?  Tips?  Tricks?  Things to look out for? Good step by step directions?  Will I need to set delays? How should I order my devices? 

Let me know what other information you would need from me to help me out...

Any and all info would be greatly appreciated! I am excited!!

Congraulations on your H700!

You might first consider downloading the v7.70 software and there are masses of similar recommendations and comparisons with 'myharmony.com' here about this if you search. The only problem is that when I just tried to find it on the Logitech website the downloads link sends you instead to a wierd advertising page which makes no sense at all. I can only assume that Logitech has made an unintentional mistake with the website.

It seems very strange that there are not multiple complaints about this so maybe the mistake is mine. If you find the same you should certainly phone logitech on your free support line, which is excellent but is only for a limited period after purchase. Otherwise I may be able to help if you can't get any joy at all with this but do try everything else first.

While waiting you could download the Manual to get ready to hit the ground running, probably from the FAQ  page:

which enables re-ordering the activities, a thing which you will probably want eventually.

Really you will only get a chance to learn much once you start to try out the software and, if you do get stuck, then search the forum for the answer, or post a specific enquiry if you can't find a solution - in order to get a personalised tutorial, but it should strictly be one thing at a time to get the best help
