Syncing Harmony 700 with Schientific Atlanta 4250HDC Problems

I've been using my remote for years and just recently got a new TV and cable box. When trying to sync using the software, I add the cable box and it tells me that I need to add a device that changes channels. The cable box is the device that changes channels! I can't get around this.

On top of this issue, I can't even update my remote. I've tried everything. I don't have favorite channel icons or anything. I get one of two messages. using the software, I get cannot display content. Using myharmony, I get cannot connect to your remote.

My remote has been rendered useless now. Please help.

It seems that you have deleted some devices from your account but did not delete the activities connected to it.

You can just delete the previous Watch TV activity on your account and create a new one.

Here is a link that might describes your problem as well.

I actually did delete the previous activities. I deleted everything. I finally got it to work by deleting all of the software and starting over completely...but now, there's a different problem. I don't know if it's a physical issue with the remote or not, but now the "7" button doesn't work. This is just ridiculous

To test if the problem is a hardware issue, you may have to customize the #7 button to the screen of the remote on the Watch TV activity. If the button on the screen works but not the physical button, it only shows that the physical button itself is defective and you may contact phone support for warranty claim if your remote is still within the hardware warranty period.
