TV to Projector screen toggle button Harmony 900

I do have several activities like Watch TV, DVD, play game etc. I am using two devices as display - TV and Projector, both on automatic HDMI switch. How can I setup one button on each activity to switch display from TV to Projector and the other way round without getting out of the present activity. So without loosing the control of other devices in this activity. I don't want to configure all 6 separate activities just to have a Projetor as a display device. Any ideas?

Well the simple question is that since it is on an automatic HDMI switch can you do it with an original remote? if not then the Harmony cannot do it. If there is a remote and you are able to toggle the displays then you can simply add a button to the screen of your remote that would say something like display toggle and by hitting that it would toggle between the 2 displays. This is only if your automatic switch accepts IR commands and if it has a toggle function like that avaliable

Re: TV to Projector screen toggle button Harmony 900

You've misunderstood me. The HDMI switch is not remotly operated. It detects which device (TV or Projector) is on and gives the signal to this device. If both devices are on then both get the signal. What I want to do, is to have one button to switch to Projector while watching on TV and vice versa without loosing the control over other devices. I have several video signals like SAT, DVD, PS3, AppleTV, CABLE and all of them may display on TV or Projector. So after switching to Projector I still want to control eg. AppleTV or DVD if they were displaying on TV before. I would probably need a macro just to turn of my TV and turn on the projector and then the same sequence other way round. But Harmony 900 does not support macros...
