towboy123,
Thanks for your response. The problem is that my TV2 Dish Network remote does not have that IR switch that other posters referred to. When I take the battery cover off, I only see the A and B switch. Could it be that I have the wrong remote? I did the confirm IR for the 650 using TV1's remote which obviously won't resolve the issue since you said I should be using TV2's remote for the IR confirmation with the 650. Your input is appreciated.

You can either switch remote 1 to confirm the address then switch it back to 3 or
With the battery cover off pull the colored tab out flip it and re insert it that will set it to IR.

towboy123,
It's me again
. Ok so I pulled the color tab from remote 2, flipped it and then put it back in and did the confirm IR using remote 2. Still no luck. TV1 works fine with the harmony 650, TV 2 still no response when I press any buttons. Actually kinda frustrating. Could the converter be defective? Is there anyway to test to eliminate that as being the problem? Seems like everyone here got theirs to work easily.
ETA- The TV2 remote did not work while the tab was flipped over either. Only worked once I flipped it back.
Also based on no. 2 in the instructions below it is referring to a 21.0 remote for TV2, the remote I have is a 6.3. Do you think this is the issue?
- Set the Converter to Band A if the remote used an odd-numbered adderss; set to Band B if the remote uses an even-numbered address; set the Converter's TV 2/1 switch accordingly.
- Leave the remote key as Blue TV2, but set the UHF / IR switch inside the receiver's 21.0 remote controls battery compartment to IR.

Try re addressing the TV1 remote to address 1 and see if it will then control TV2 if that does not work double check you wiring.
If still no luck hook the adapter right to the antenna port and test it again if it is still not working then I would say there is something wrong with it.

Should the IR converter be hooked directly to TV2 or should it be connected to the 722k box?
Also do you think the remote for TV2 is the wrong model? I had a 722 box and it was switched to a 722k but the technican told me that the remotes for the 722 would work with the 722k but now from reading online, I see that the 722 remote is discontinued and the 722k (the 21.0) is what these instructions are referring to?

You should have the Adapter connected like this >=Coax Cable
Where the antenna goes>splitter>to TV2>Adapter here>TV.
I suggested hooking right to the 222k to ensure your connections if it works there it should work on the TV side
It is not the remote that should come with the 222k but they are interchangeable

Hi towboy123,
Just to update on this. As I suspected I had the wrong remote. Dish shipped me a replacement 21.0 remote and I was finally able to program my logitech remote and control tv2 with it using the IR converter. Thanks for your help.

All of the VIP series remotes use the same commands so that should not have been the issues. Either the 6.x remote was not working or not setup properly either way I am glad you got it working.
