Hi--I couldn't find any post that addressed exactyly this.

When I first got the remote, we would choose an activity like Watch TV, everything would turn on, and then we would be returned to the watch TV screen with activity buttons.

Recently, for some reason, the screen always goes to a message that says if we need help, press help now. or turn off assistant.

Is that the normal next screen? If not, how do I change the settings to get us to the right screen?

In the remote settings tab select options and you can turn it off here

I downloaded the software instead of using the web based configuration tool and found the option to turn it off.

remote shows remote assistant won't turn off.I am  unable to turn tv on I.ve tried turn off assistant and exit and nothing is working
