Remote is an 890. My central device, the AV receiver, won't turn off and stay off when the power button is pushed on the remote. All the devices in use do shut off including the AV receiver but then the receiver comes back on. I have tried adjusting the delay time from 300 to 1500 ms and the number of repeats from 0 to 3 with no affect on this problem. I have deleted and reinstalled the AV receiver and am trying that now...didn't work. What can I do to make the receiver stay off?

Be sure that HDMI-CEC control is turned off on your AV Receiver, if it uses it. You don't mention what brand of AVR that you have

it's a Yamaha RX-V471. It has only a control for "HDMI Control" to be set "off" or "on". It was set to "on" and I changed that to "off". That appears to have solved the problem. Thank you very much for the tip

Harmony remotes do not work with devices using HDMI-CEC control, Harmony has to have complete control of Power and Input setting
