You might want to try the following.... First, try to do the FW upgrade that you just did again, but this time in safe mode. To get into safe mode, remove the battery for 30sec or so and then while pressing the off button, re-insert the battery. The remote should come up in safe mode. Now try the FW update, and then after that upgrade the remote to bring back your settings.
If that doesn't work, then try the new FW that's out as a beta version. You can find it here.
If that doesn't work, then try PM-ing one of the logitech mods and maybe they can look into your account to see if something is messed up.
