i've had my harmony remote for about 3 yrs.
recently changed batteries and after putting new batteries in the remote would light up and say "welcome to my remote" on the screen, but every time i tried pushing any of the buttons (including the Activities button or the Help button) i would not get any response. it's as though the remote is locked up.
Can anyone help me correct this problem. I would greatly appreciate any support you could lend me.
Sincerely,
techchallenged

Have you tried re-connecting the Harmony to the computer via the USB cable and updating the remote.
That might work.
You might also want to try to go to the DOWNLOADS section and update the firmware.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
check the remote for stuck buttons. This happens from time to time for models of the 5xx series. Massage every button on the remote.
Greetings

My 550 locked up as well. The screen is on fresh batteries, massaging the buttons did not work?
It does nothing when I touch the buttons. I have updated the firmare and the remote.
Still nothing. Remote is not that old.
