Re: "Unofficial*" request to bring sequences to the 900 and 1100

Another Logitech apostate here. I've converted to the Xsight Touch. Been using Harmony for nearly a decade, but I am sick of losing features with every 'upgrade' while having to deal with a software UI that hasn't had an upgrade since it's creation (i.e. circa 2002 UI). I got my Xsight from Amazon for less than half what I paid for last Harmony: http://amzn.to/AtembJ

I"d be interested to hear about your experience with the Xsight... and how it compares to the Harmony ONE.

Re: "Unofficial*" request to bring sequences to the 900 and 1100

sign me to the list. Wish I had known about many of the changes from the 890 Pro vs 900. No sequences, new RF hardware required, poor flexibility in commands and choices of icons, a continuing decline in the db accuracy, continuing battery overcharging (can't design this w/o overcharging?), and a lack of options similar to X-Sight Touch for personalization. I've been using Logitech remotes for 11 years so I'm inclined to be loyal to a brand but I won't hesitate to jump somewhere else if this 900 fails before a reasonable time.

Have you considered that the reason for users not using the sequences feature is because it was poorly implemented?

The reason why I am almost never using this feature is because it lacks a customizable delay betwean each action and because 5 actions is simply too short for many features that I  would like to automate. (1 button instead of 5 is not that much of an improvement).

The customizable delay is important because many devices take different times for different actions, therefore setting the global delay for that device to the highest necessary value is simply not an option and would slow me down more than pressing the 5 buttons myself. The restriction to 5 actions is very arbitrary and I do not understand it.

nearly hurled my 1100 against the wall when I read it didn't have sequences or macros.

(and Logitec, if I had, you can bet that the replacement *wouldn't* be made by Logitec)

Re: "Unofficial*" request to bring sequences to the 900 and 1100

Stunned at this, and I blame myself for not researching hard enough before buying.  I wanted to update to something modern from my URC MX-600.  Now I find out I can't create macros (sequences)!  Holly cow. Sorry to yell, but ADD THIS FEATURE BACK

I need RF/IR remote with Macro capability.  Do I need to look elsewhere? or is there a Harmony product that does it?

Re: "Unofficial*" request to bring sequences to the 900 and 1100

Other then this user created thread I don't think any amount of research you would've conducted would reveal the loss of sequences. I researched the 900 plenty for a year in anticipation of upgrading from a 890 and I didn't find out about this and a number of other shortcomings until I started my initial configuration. Dissapointing that there is so little concern for the customer when it comes to features offered in prior versions and eliminated because it's cheaper for Logitech.

All of you who care about sequences, please let your voice be heard by telling Logitech loud and clear in THIS survey.

Re: "Unofficial*" request to bring sequences to the 900 and 1100

Another reason for me to switch to different brand of remotes. Lack of features that many people want.   Time to sell my two 900's and my 1100 and go with URC or something else. I never heard of a remote in this price range not have sequences or macros.
