Re: "Unofficial*" request to bring sequences to the 900 and 1100

[ Edited ]

+1 for me....

I was so... close to buy this thing... THEN I discovered the missing sequences.

This is THE stopper for me. Sorry.

The rule of thumb of development: NEVER, NEVER remove a feature from a new product, NEVER !

By the way... These captchas are highly unreadable (not only for computers...)

What a dumb idea dropping this feature - this is one of the most useful features of the logitechs - please put it in.

Re: "Official*" petition for bringing sequences to the 900 and 1100

Well I just bought 2 of these 1100's and frankly it never occured to me you would not have support for a sequence.   Top dog remote doesn't have it?   I'll  probably send these back to you.   My 3d projector makes me select the type of 3d I want,  then I have to select invert the 3d, for EVERY time I watch 3d.  It just made sense to me to make a macro (secquence) so that one button will do it, or even have it done automatically when turning it on. It seems I can;'t do it at all.

Very disappoinging on such an expensive remote.   Im really surprised.

Really, you leave this out on your top end product?   So few use it and yet if anyone would use it sure seems to me that anyone spending $300+ on a remote just might have a pretty bit AV system in place and it would seem logical that guys like us would want this capability --- even if it's just knowing the capability is there.    Heck, macros are included in even some of the very cheap remotes,  leving it out of the 1100?  Amazing!

Re: "Official*" petition for bringing sequences to the 900 and 1100

Logitech, to say that macros is not a commonly used function is an excuse for not wanting to tell us the truth. With so many requests to add macros, you still resist! The real reason is because adding macros would place a burden on your technical support. Those wanting to use macros may not know how to set it up. Thus they will call you for help. You say that you listen to your customers and value their input; well we are saying add the macros feature to your upper tier remotes! I will await but not expect your response. Thank you.

Add me to the list.  Absolutely stunned the flaghsip feature is not included in the high end 900 model.  Surely, there is nothing technical to stop the feature being added?

Re: "Unofficial*" request to bring sequences to the 900 and 1100

Just wanted to add my request for including sequences. I've routinely used to easily manage zone 2 and zone 3 audio, and to fill in where individual command buttons didn't exist. I can still do everything by using multiple device commands, but this is very cumbersome compared to 1 push of a custom button, like on the 890.

Re: "Official*" petition for bringing sequences to the 900 and 1100

So, look, It's not complicated.  Don't develop a hierarchical line of products, with added functionality to each as the customer spends more, and then introduce a feature in the middle of the pack, that’s not roiled up to the more expensive products.   If you do this, Like you did with Harmony One, you piss of the customers that are spending the most money on you.  What are you thinking?  You can cite demographics all you want, it was a bad move and you should fix it.  Now a customer has to choose between RF and Sequences.  If they need both, they are supposed to buy a non RF model and them buy the RF extender?  Please.  It’s a software dill, it would have cost Logitech next to nothing to include this in the rest of the lineup from the One.  I have two 900’s and I am now feeling like a left out investor.  I’ll be sure to look elsewhere for a company that gives some merit and consideration to their loyal customers..

Re: "Unofficial*" request to bring sequences to the 900 and 1100

I also was fooled into believing that the 900 would support sequences before I purchased.  Frankly, I wouldn't have imagined any remote in this price range would lack this feature.  I gave a freind my JP1 remotes and hardware figuring that I would pay a little more but have an atractive, highly functional remote easily programmed.  The RF sounded like a great feature.

The lack of sequences utterly astounds me.  I have no idea why this would be.  A good deal of people who buy a universal remote purchase based on this functionality.  To ommit this item is insulting to everyones inteligence.

Activities are prone to problems.  This is especially true in combination with the RF range that is extremely poor.

I highly regret giving away my JP1 remotes.  They were not flashy, but I could program exactly what I needed.  Logitech should seriously consider hiring some of the JP1 developers as project managers or programmers.  They know what a remote should be able to do.  I do not know what the Logitech developers were thinking.

Please make the 900 firmware or software do what it should have done at the time of release.  Note that 5 steps is not enough.

+1 (2)

i have buy 2 Harmony 900 without imagine one second that threre is less possibility compare the ONE

Even the configuration transfer by replacement of RC wath not possible, shame on Logitech

NB : If the real matter of sequences missing is the user support

Solution is simple, just activite it under request from user with clear notyfication that Logitech SAV do not support that option

Let the non Logitech forums solve issues that users can have

Where is the Problem ?

^^

spot on with that solution. Directv has two or three features available to those who want them but are acknowledged as unsupported. I'd take that over being ignored.
