Re: sharp lc60e69u input switching problem

I have a Harmony One and a Sharp LC-60E69U TV, too.

I am experiencing the same problem with the input select commands.

Working: InputTV, InputPC, Input3 (HDMI3) and Input5 (YPbPr)

Not working: Input1 (HDMI1), Input2 (HDMI2) and Input4 (AV)

I've tried about 20 other Sharp TV entries in the database and had no luck finding any commands for the non-working input selects.  (I test by adding a handful of TV under the 'Devices' tab, updating the remote, then use 'Devices' menu on the remote to test the individual commands.)

If you know or can find the hex codes for the required commands thete is a way to enter them using the web software. I do not have a link handy but do a web search for the procedure when you have the codes.

The problem is you can only enter one code, the next time you enter a new code it removes the first code.  The best way is the send all of the Hex code to Harmony to have them enter them for you.

Re: sharp lc60e69u input switching problem

Same problem here, but I also have the same behavior when using the factory remote for the TV. Additionally, if I adjust the TV volume, the next command sent will also adjust the volume - no matter what remote command is sent (typically a channel up - which goes to the cable box - yet the TV keeps adjusting the volume. I was hoping the Harmony remote could be programmed to get around this. Seems like a software fix from Sharp is really what is needed.

If you original remote does it the Harmony remote only mimics what the original remote does

It appears the Sharp has issued a firmware update for the TV which may also address this problem.

download firmware update

Re: sharp lc60e69u input switching problem

I just bought the Harmony 650 remote yesterday and I have the Sharp LC60E69U TV. I was having the same trouble with inputs and had the same proglem even after installing the firmware update on the TV. I was on the verge on returning when I had an idea. I noticed that when I set a device to HDMI1, the remote would switch the TV to HDMI3 instead. When I set a device to YPbPr, the TV would switch to HDMI2. I then made a chart of what inputs were switched to versus the input that should have been. So let's say that my cable box is hooked up to HDMI3 on my TV. In the Harmony software, I entered HDMI1 instead. The remote thinks that the TV is in HDMI1 input but it's in HDMI3. I can now run all my devices like I should. Hope this helps.
