using tv with HDMI switch issue

I have the hHrmony AUR for xbox 360 and it always wants the TV to change inputs for every activity, however, I use a HDMI switch to change inputs, is there any way to disable the tv from trying to select a input????

Thanks in advance

Re: using tv with HDMI switch issue

Hi billa77,

When setting up your Activities, the software will ask you what input the TV needs to be on. If you select the same input for all activities, the Harmony should not be trying to do any switching because it assumes you always use the same input. If this is not the case, I suggest that you review each Activity to make sure you have chosen the same input:

1. Login to the Harmony software

2. Beside each Activity, click 'Troubleshoot'

3. Review the list of settings for the Activity, choose 'No....' if you need to make a change

I hope this helps:smileyhappy:

Re: using tv with HDMI switch issue

Mark,

depending on what input selection method it might be resending the discrete input commands (i.e. if method #2 is in use).

assuming that's the problem, since you're not actually changing inputs, you can go in to the setup, devices tab, settings for the tv, adjust inputs, change it to method #1.  then, as long as they're all set to the same input, it won't be resending the discrete commands anymore

Yes - specify that the input commands are "none" - that's as well as the other two solutions above.:smileyhappy:
