I seem to be having the same issue with the AT&T U-Verse VIP-1216 and VIP-1200 boxes. As soon as I add either of them it goes to endless sync. I take them off and all is good.
Sounds like it is known that some profiles are not quite right.

I can also confirm the issue is profile related. I have an AT&T VIP-1225 along with three other devices. The three others sync properly along with three activitied. Adding the VIP causes it to hang.

Hello brownjl1 and Neil and DrDASD,
Can I have you a different model?
1. Login to MyHarmony.com
2. Select Devices > Add a Device
3. Enter correct Manufacturer but incorrect model number for example Motorola VIP-1230 not 1225
4. You will be prompted if thats the correct model number, select "Yes that's right"
5. You will then have to select the type of device you are adding from the list, select the appropriate choice.
6. From the next screen select the option for having the original remote and then have the customer confirm the codes.

Logitech support team solved my issue (with not syncing profile with customized Toshiba TV inputs settings) by direct correction of the settings in my account. Thank you very much for that indeed! So the problem is fixed and this is really good but the way it has been done is a little bit confusing as it limits my ability to play around with settings and shows that not all device profiles from the shelf are workable without Logitech's in-house tuning.

Hello Neon95,
If you were contacted by support let them know.
If not I can pass the information along for you if you send me the exact things that you would like to change and can't and what doesn't seem to be working.

Cat, thank you very much for your offer. I answered to the Support Team directly in my incident ticket discussion thread. The next step would be to add commands to activities (for example, when I start a TV activity it would be nice to switch my reciever to stereo mode while when I start listen to music activity I would prefer surround mode, but I guess it is not possible to set such batch commands - or macros - with the current software, or is it possible?) Well, this question is not for this thread of course :-)

Hi Cat,
Okay, so I made a lot more progress following your instruction.
I was able to finally add my Uverse VIP-1200 (as a VIP-1235) receiver and sync the app after creating a new myharmony account and resetting the Link.
I can control each device independently, however the activity I defined to watch TV doesn't seem to work. The TV and HT receiver go on, but the Uverse doesn't. I double checked the definitions for the activity I defined and they are all correct.
Also, the device controls for the Uverse receiver are not fully mapped. For example, there is no "Enter" or "OK" button to select an item in the menu's which I assume is because I had to use a dummy model number. I'll try adding the missing commands through myharmony tomorrow. I feel enough has been accomplished for today!
Thanks for the help.
Kurt
