The APK works on the Galaxy Tab 10.1, though since it's designed for the phone only it looks like a grandma remote.

Hi There!
I'm a beginner in this field, so please forgive me if I have stupid questions!
I write from Hungary. I bought Harmony Link in US and it's on the way and willing to use in Hungary on my Galaxy Tab 8.9. I just realized that Logitech has a huge backlog to provide Android version for tablets. Thanks to Tooboy123 I see the apk is accessible and you reported that it runs on Galaxy Tab 10.1. It's promising, but I have questions:
- Is it possible to customize layout of controllers for my different equipments similarly to the original remote controller?
- May I setup actions which for maybe switch on the TV, HiFi,STB or this is only available on iPad, iPhone, iPod?
- Is there anybody who has written apps for one of the program driven Logitech equipment? Is there any chance to have soon an Android Tablet version?
- iPad version has a nice EPG part which is probably sometime will be the basis of the Android version. But how this app is collecting the different channels' TV program? Is there any international standard or may I configure the app to say from where the TV programs should be collected?
Thanks for any support!
Csilig

Could some help me?
I have problem with new update 1.3.0.
After updated to latest version, I can`t log in to my android phone to control my homecinema. It keep saying I need to punch right password when I try to log in to Harmony Link on my android. I know password is right, but can`t access :-(
Then I have tried to change passord in web, testet in web = all ok in web, but NOT at my phone, no password working. I see that I am on right wifi.
All web working, can change password, setup ect ect...
And can`t access my Harmony Link on my android.
What to do? Whats wrong?
I have tried to install Harmony Link v.1.0 on my android, but it say same, wrong password.
EDIT
I even try to make a new accont, but same problem, wrong password.
EDIT2
Never mind.
I figured it out :-)

There has been much discussion about Kindle Fire and Harmony Link. I finally "bit the bullet" and bought a Harmony Link yesterday and installed it at home last night. Prior to purchase I had installed the app on my phone - a Samsung Galaxy Nexus with Ice Cream Sandwich - to make sure that I could use the app. I also installed it on my iPad. After purchase I was able to install the 1.3.0 version from the Dropbox location mentioned elsewhere in this thread as a "side load" on my Kindle Fire. I can assure you that the 1.3.0 version available from the Dropbox location will indeed work on a non-rooted Kindle Fire. When i tried to isntall the version from the App store - now named the Play Store - the installation failed. But installing the version from Dropbox worked.
Of course the Android version is limited compared to the IOS version but the configurability is "there". I do wish the Android version would interact with the programming guide like the IOS version does. (I have not been able to test the IOS version as my iPad was not available to me last night. I will test the IOS version this evening.)
All in all, the Harmony Link works as I expected. The response time is actually a bit better that I had been lead to believe. A nice toy for me to play with. ![]()
