Re: Harmony Link won't connect

Having similar problem.

I tried setting up and everything was fine.  Computer recognized my link and got to the Wifi setup screen.  Found my wifi and asked for password, typed password in correctly many times and said unable to connect.

So i reset the link by holding down on the button for 25 seconds, now my link just blinks red.  And everytime i try to run setup it says unable to find harmony link.

In previous post you told someone to click settings and reset link, however i do not have that option.  When i log into my harmony account it just stays at setup screen, and there is no where on the screen that gives me the option to click settings.  Please help!

I am running win  7 64 bit.

wifi security is Wpa2 personal

Re: Harmony Link won't connect

Does anyone know if the Link works if the SSID broadcast is disabled?

Re: Harmony Link won't connect

There is an option on the wifi setup screen for other network; I believe this is where you would type your SSID for non-broadcasting networks.

Hello brucknerdoc,

For your encryption try just WPA OR WPA 2 not the mixed one and see if that works.

Re: Harmony Link won't connect

I am having this same issue.  I have WEP security.  I originally had the SSID hidden, but the Link wouldn't connect.  So, I set the SSID to broadcast.  The Link just says that the SSID or password may be incorrect.  However, everything is correct.  I noticed that the light on the Link will briefly flash green, but then go right back to a solid red when attempting to connect to my network.

Any ideas?  Bad unit?  Bad software?  Otherwise, I'm taking this thing back.

Re: Harmony Link won't connect

First I would set the SSID to be broadcast

Then I would start over and create a new account and see if you can connect

Re: Harmony Link won't connect

Nope, same thing happens.  I even closed Internet Explorer, cleared the cache, history, and cookies.  Removed Logitech's plugin and had it reinstalled.  Nothing.  Still won't connect to my wireless network.

Re: Harmony Link won't connect

OK, I got it.  Apparently, the Link doesn't like Shared keys in a WEP security setup.  It likes Open keys.  I think Logitech needs to work on that since an option isn't even available for that during wireless network setup.
