Link won't control WMC7?

I'm having difficulty with the Link.  When I set up the activity for my HTPC the Link still wants to control my STB and not go through the Hauppauge 2250 that's in the HTPC.  When setting up the activity it asks how to control the volume (Pioneer receiver), but not how to control the channel changing.  Am I missing something or is this a known issue?

I've searched, but I don't see anything similar.

Thanks!

Oh, my Harmony 880 works just fine, so I figure it must be the product or the setup.

Re: Link won't control WMC7?

Interesting. I am using WMC7 with the Link with almost no trouble. The most important issue I ran into was having the link send infra red to all of the devices; TV, WMC (HTPC), recvr and BluRay. I had to add some IR emitters to the Link. But, it sounds like you have a device/activity programming issue. Did you program Microsoft (Manufacturer) Windows Media Center (Device) as a "Device". If you did, it should list WMC as an option for controlling channels when programming an "Activity". You should verify that WMC is listed as a device in the Link. If WMC is not listed ad a "device", add it and redo your activities.

The only shortcoming of using the Link with WMC7 so far, is when using "over the air" or QAM channels the system fails to send the punctuation between the major and minor components of the channel. For example: If you select channel 2.1 to watch, the Link sends 21. Aggrevating but survivable. More aggrevating is not being able to make "Support" understand the problem and step out of the canned response mode.

Hope your solution is as simple as adding WMC as a device.
