Re: Official Suggestion Thread and Some Quick Fixes

It would be nice if they would post their development road map for the Link.  At least we would know what made the cut and not.

Also, since the server seems to be a constant issue to this day (my young son does not even try to use the link anymore, he just gets the DirecTV remote and opens the component cabinet for the IR), maybe they need to post a 'Server Status' on this forum so we dont have to be kept in the dark.  Logitech, there are other options...  Although I love all your other products, I am starting to look elsewhere and have told three other people interested in the link to hold off since I feel like an alpha tester for this thing.

Since tons of links are being returned to stores, expect the secondary market (eBay resellers, etc) to be FLOODED with these things cheap in the next couple of months if they don't give the consumer stores full credit on the vendor returns.  That will eat into their link sales numbers from two angles (reversals of booked sales and loss of new sales due to a saturated secondary market.

Re: Official Suggestion Thread and Some Quick Fixes

I dont think they care, or else other mods and devs would pop in here and give theri input, I say if they wont do **bleep** about it then open source the code so others can make more use of the product... I still cant believe that there is still NO ANDROID TABLET SUPPORT!!!! come on there are more android tablets sold then iPads ~_~ and people cant use the cost excuse because they cost A LOT LESS then an iPad... ~_~

Re: Official Suggestion Thread and Some Quick Fixes

I would love to see a regular laser mouse (not trackball) shaped exactly like the trackball M570 mouse. It has a great shape for people with bigger hands like me and it doesn't make you pinch the mouse with your pinky. It lets you rest the pinky on top of thte mouse which is more comfortable. So yeah for 2012 Id love to see the M570 shape turn into a laser/optical mouse.

This is a Logitech Harmony remote control forum, you should post in the Keyboard and Mouse forum

Re: Official Suggestion Thread and Some Quick Fixes

You are missing on MASSIVE number of potentially AWESOME features of this thing.

  • 3rd Party API (lets face it your UI **bleep**)
  • Windows App
  • Windows Phone App
  • Windows 8
  • Home Automation support ( EIGHT devices???????????? really your limit is 8 WHY? )
  • Have you seen how well the kindle fire is selling and you STILL dont offer an version for it
  • stick an ethernet port on the back, why force me to use wifi?

Please convert the Android app over to the BlackBerry PlayBook.  It is possible.  I took the .apk and did so today for myself.  It would be nice to see an official version in App World though.

Re: Official Suggestion Thread and Some Quick Fixes

I would love if there was a way to NOT have every action try to turn on my devices.. when they are already on.. Effectivly turning everything OFF when I switch Action menus!!

So far the only way I have found to solve it, is set it so the link NEVER turns anything on or off.. Which still leaves me needing my stinking remotes!

Re: Official Suggestion Thread and Some Quick Fixes

That should not be happening, I think you should contact support and let them fix it for you.

Otherwise it is not usable...

(you can use power on and off buttons on the device menu in the link app - no need for original remotes, but still...)

Re: Official Suggestion Thread and Some Quick Fixes

I have contacted them....

Their response.. Add ALL devices to every action... STILL does not solve it!

I have pleaded with them for another response.. That was 4 days ago.
