Paradox...

What a paradox! It is as if Logitech was afraid of its own products! I really suspect logitech not updating their harmony link software deliberately. It's true! Imagine if the harmony link had a huge success (which could easily be the case), The Harmony line of "classic" remotes  would take a shot! Harmony Link cost just about $ 99 while the high end physical Harmony cost several Hundreds ...

Please Logitech, make me wrong! At least announce an update for android tablet and Ice Cream Sandwich! Do not be afraid, if you put effort on the Harmony software link, I'm sure you will take the market still vacant of remotes on smartphones.

Thank you

Re: Paradox...

That's it, another harmony link returned to the store. Really a shame this product. No efforts put into it. I returned mine yesterday after trying to make it work correctly on android. Too bad, product have so much potential...

Re: Paradox...

If the support issue is cannibalization of existing remote business, up the price to $150 or $200.  The Link is too slick to not support it!  Job number one on link development should be making it so one mobile device app can control multiple devices.  Look at Apples Remote app on an iPhone in an environment with 2 Apple TVs or multiple computers.  Its very easy to switch the remote to select a different device to control.  Only problem is Apple's remote app only controls Apple devices!  Logitech would have alot more multiple unit customers!  I personally would buy 1 more to control my bedroom TV/AppleTV/receiver if the multiple control function issue gets resolved.
