G35 - Games that are Incompatia ble
I was thinking that possibly we the community can start to list games that are of high intrests that are incompatible with the G35. Such as 7.1 or 5.1 function that is unavailable or crashes so then Logitch may be aware of the issue. The first game I would like to list off though would have to be Left 4 Dead; game crashes when changing sound to 7.1 or 5.1 if left alone with changing it only recognizes as Headphones and only sounds like standard Headphones.

Re: G35 - Games that are Incompatia ble
Thanks. Yeah, we're aware and it's a priority. We also have already resolved a memory leak that can occur on Vista when the headset is not plugged in (this will be in the same update).
If anyone else has any specific games that are having issues, please post in this thread.

Is there anything special one has to do to make Ventrilo functions work? The config panel has Ventrilo 3.0.5 settings but there's no ventrilo on their site with that version, mute sound and mute microphone doesn't work with the latest Ventrilo 3.0.4

Re: G35 - Games that are Incompatia ble
I just got the G35 today and so far it is briliant. There is one rather big minus so far. In Call of Duty World at War (a.k.a. CoD:WaW a.k.a. CoD5) the speaker config can not be set manually. The game detect the windows settings. And alyhough I've set the speaker config in Windows Sounds and Audio Devices Properties to "7.1 hoen theater speakers", CoD:WaW still only recognises stereo headphones. Teh Dolby setting on the headset will give a hollow and empty sounds that way. The normal stereo setting on the headset is fine, but that's not what the 7.1 G35 is for offcourse.
I've tried starting the game first and than plug in the headset. The game detects the 7.1 config (from my creative soundcard), but the sound will only be played through my soundcard, not through the headset. Using the command counsole in the game to try to set the speaker config is also unsuccessful. CoD still only detect and play stereo sound.
Is there a way around this? I really reeeeaaaallyyyyyy would like to have surround in CoD:WaW because it is one of my favorite games.
(I use XP pro sp3 and also have a Creative X-Fi music with 7.1 speakerset connected.)

Re: G35 - Games that are Incompatia ble
i used it in CS just about all day yesterday, and it was incredible (works great in source also)
additionally, it works just fine for me in l4d (it autodetects it to 7.1), and all other source engine games for that matter. no crashes or anything o_0

I too have no problems with L4D in 7.1 mode. However the G35 software does not detect Dolby Surround when I play L4D. fxdarkloki, can you check if the software detects Dolby when you play L4D? It says "Surround sound last heard at ........" below the large Dolby icon.
(I also have not yet been able to get the software to detect surround when playing DVD images, but maybe I don't have the correct codecs.)
EDIT: Still hoping for a solution for getting surrond in CoD:WaW offcourse.

Re: G35 - Games that are Incompatia ble
i can confirm that. the timestamp in the G35 software does indeed not update when using dolby in L4d, however it certainly seems to work in the game. i have also checked with DVD's and get the same thing. seems to work, but the timestamp doesnt update.
