Headphones / Headsets / Microphones

I ordered a ClearChat Wireless USB Headset and installed it on my Win7/x64 laptop (Lenovo T410, Sound HW: Conexant 20585 SmartAudio HD, appropriate driver provided by Lenovo).

I experience that the audio volume while listening with the headphones is good, while the microphone is close to unusable. I tried to adjust the settings in both Windows System Control Panel as well as in the Conexant Control SW, but the signal i get is way to weak.

Any suggestions?
