Microphone: Logitech Inc 981-000018 ClearChat Style Headset

Fixes I have tried:

-Unmuting microphone

-Turning volume up

-Setting the microphone as the default device

I have a Windows Vista Dell Inspiron studio 17

I seemed to have fixed it somehow. The Recording Device display that shows the bars for the microphone were not lighting up (Which would indicate a working microphone) but on other programs it would work so I am not sure why this is so, but, it is.

I have a relativelyi new HD C270 webcam.    Can't seem to get the mike to work with MAC O/S 10.7x

Any one have a solution?

Hello ebreedlove,

You may need go  to Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Sound, and then click Input.

Select the device you want to use for sound coming into your computer. In your case it may be listed as the C270.
