For the silicon tips, they just slide past the rib to seat flush with the speaker. The foam ones don't seem to be able to slip past the rib and stick out quite far. After trying to jam it on a few times I noticed theres a plastic tube that the foam is mounted on which will not allow it to be pushed over the rib. Is this by design, or am I doing it wrong?

Hello KorrMuraan,
Can you possible post a picture? The comply foam's should just fit on nicely like the silicon tips.
Kind Regards,

Notice how far the foam sticks out from the silicone

Not a flush fit with the foam

Combo of rib and foam inner sleeve prevent secure mount

Comparison in fit
I actually have to make a scooping motion to extract the comply foam tip as the tip tends to slide off the earphone and remain in my ear.

Hello KorrMuraan,
I checked with a co-worker that also has the UE700's and its the same thing. Must be the way the comply foams are designed.

Seriously? That's terrible that even got past product testing... but thanks for checking.
I'll just make a few small cuts in the sleeve to seat it better I suppose.

Sorry for bringing up this old post.
But I have the same problem here with my UE600.
Can I install the foam tips without cutting the sleeves?

That cannot be possible. The tips will get stuck in your ears when you pull the buds out. No way this is the case

I've also bought the UE700 in the new version and I find it very confusing why Logitech includes comply foams if they doesn't fit. The comply foam support told me that Logitech changed the sound port so there comply tips doesn't fit anymore. Cannot understand this really!?
