G-930 sound cut-out in the right speaker

Hi.

My issue is the following: After passing a certain threshold of volume the right speaker goes silent and it can't be waken up again. At first I thought that was a hardware fault and the headset was done for good, but after plugging it in another pc, for a short moment the right speaker worked ok. Then when I increased the volume it went silent and nothing, even the re-installation of drivers didn't help.

What may be causing this issue? Is it hardware or software fault? If it's hardware have you encountered this before? Is it possible to fix - and would it be difficult (unfortunately my headset is not on warranty so I can't return it)? I have tested the headset with three different OS - win 7 64 bit, win 7 32 bit and win xp and it was all the same.

I would appreciate your support logitech.

Hello Bartoszcze,

Since the issue has followed the G930 to different computers, it is most likely a hardware failure. Please contact Logitech Customer Care for your region.

Today I'm going to take them for repair. Let's wait and see what they say.

Re: G-930 sound cut-out in the right speaker

Yesterday I got the headset repaired. It came out that the cable connecting two speakers was damaged, which was causing a short circuit. I think the cause for that may be that the headset's ability to twist is not offset well enough by its build quality. I paid for the repair about 20$. Let's hope they don't break anytime soon.

Consider my problem solved.

Where did you go to get a headset repaired?
