is the issue with volume sovled?...i bought the headset yesterday and i think as many other users have said that the volume can be boosted up another 2-3 levels...i mean you buy this headset for 130 euros ...and you expect nothing less than excellent quality and loudness...the quality is there..but the headset is still really low regarding the sound...

yes i updated the software ...but i still have the feeling that the headset is not loud enough...and should go 2-3 levels up...i don't why is so low ...to protect us from our selves?....for example when i listen to music ...is not what you expect it to be ....not loud enough ...or some games for example Prototype has a problem with sound and it's too low ...if i have my speakers on i can turn the volume to 3/4 and it's ok ...when i have the headset i can barely hear the sounds ...as mentioned by another user..when you remove the drivers ..the headset is way louder...but this does not allow you to take advantage of all the other features ...if the volume issue is fixed this means the headset with the previous drives was even more quiet???....since the headset is software based i think the problem can be fixed easily ...compared to other headsets which are connected to the sound card ..this one i suppose has no amp so that's why we experience this problem?...thanks

I too think these things are just barely loud enough with the versino .152 software
If I listen to anything at a decent level, I see I'm one or two notches below max, and this is with the bass/treble turned all the way up, as well as the player turned all the way up.
They sound really nice, but this could be a dealbreaker for me.
I may have to try removing the drivers just to see, hadn't thought they would work out of teh box like that.
I don't really need the surround, i think it's a gimmick, but if this could just be a straight headset, and it works without the drivers, I could even do without the buttons too.
