G35, dropped it and earphone broke.

So I accidently dropped my G35 headset on the floor and it instantly broke one of the earphones apart. The sound and all is still working 100% fine (very tiny cable is still attached to the earphone). However the movable plastic that seperates the upper part of the headset from the earphone itself has broken.

It's the first time I've ever dropped the headset and the distance was barely even a yard.

Anyway these two pictures might give you an idea of how it looks:

But my question now is.. Is it fixable? Like can I send it to someone/logitech and for a certain fee have them fix it. (New G35 costs 250$, not willing to pay that). I've had the headset for about 1½ year now and I'm not sure what the warranty of it was.

help, anyone?

Re: G35, dropped it and earphone broke.

If they are still in Warranty (and they sound like they are) it's covered. I've sent away a pair before and got a new one, doing perfectly well here.

If the retailer doesn't agree, just call Logitech and get a RMA number from them.

[ Edited ]

Man I am bummed, this exact same thing happened to my G35 but it happened when I was putting them on my head, it's just been sitting in a heap on my desk broken like that. The worst thing is I can't remember where I bought it from, I buy a lot of computer products and it could have been from anywhere. What the hell do I do? I was hoping I could just organize this to be replaced via Logitech but I have read I have to take it back to where I bought it? I have been a Logitech customer since purchasing the Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital, but this is going to make me doubt purchasing any Logitech products in the future. Please help :smileysad:

Re: G35, dropped it and earphone broke.

Unfortunatly, the only way you will be able to get it replaced is if you can find that reciept. Otherwise you've got  no proof of purchase, and no date for the warranty.

If you got it online, you can often go through your order history there. Have a look thorugh them all, and see what you come up with.

Otherwise, I can't think of anything else. Sorry man.

Same here. These are the most expensive headphones that I have bought. Great Sound, but to have it break only a week after I got it. Not cool.:smileymad:
