G930 Abs Zero Ventrilo problem

Hello there

I just recently reinstalled windows 7 64bit on my PC. At the same time I had to reinstall drivers for my G930. I have installed the newest driver, and now I have the Abs Zero problem in ventrilo. I can use the mic on vent, but it does work really crappy with voice activation, which I allways use, so it is really annoying it is not working properly.

Link to picture of how it looks in the setup: http://eboz.dk/upload/abs_zero.jpg

I have had this problem before, what I did back then was installing an older driver. I had that driver backed up, but when I install that I get the same problem with Abs Zero

Is there a way to fix this issue? Cause it is killing me!

Re: G930 Abs Zero Ventrilo problem

Hello madscollin,

Have you set the sensitivity to a number slightly higher than the average shown in the vent monitor test? If that does not resolve the issue adjust it up a little at a time, this should keep the mic from being in an always on state. Have the Mic at least 2 fingers width away from your mouth.

Hey Cintech

Thx for that, I think it is working ok now. Just to be clear. It is supposed to show Abs Zero? That did not happen with the old driver if I recall correctly.

Re: G930 Abs Zero Ventrilo problem

Hello madscollin,

You would need contact Ventrilo to confirm the meaning of abs zero, but it appears to mean that the mic is not transmitting. Some conflicting information also states that it can mean that when using voice activation the mic is always on. This issue seems to have been around since 2008 and involves any mic. I'm happy that you have yours working.
