Hello,
I'm having an issue with my G930's. Whenever I make a recording with FRAPS (3.2.3) while using my Logitech G930's, I notice that a very light buzz or hum or some kind of white noise is added to my voice and degrades the audio quality. Don't get me wrong, the audio clarity is superb, however a noticible buzz is added and that is the issue i'm having.
I have recorded a FRAPS video, recorded it with Sony Vegas and have watched the output video to ensure that the audio captured is within the video. Currently the video is rendering so I will post it as soon as it is available.

Thank you!

That really sounds like there is some form of noise on the line.
What are the specs of the PC, and is there some form of audio compression inside of FRAPS?

PC Specs:
Intel Core i7 D0 LGA1366 @ 3.8 GHz
ASUS P6T Deluxe V2
EVGA GTX 580 SC
EVGA GTS 250 (Dedicated PhysX)
1 TB WD Black SATA3 7200RPM (Primary HDD)
1 TB Samsung Spinpoint F3 (Dedicated FRAPS recording drive)
3x2 GB DDR3 1600 OCZ Gold Triple Channel Kit
Corsair HX750W
Windows 7 Ultimate X86-64, NON-SP1
Logitech G930 (1.00.364)
FRAPS 3.2.3
FRAPS records fully. Recordings are raw, uncompressed AVI's equating to 3-4GB per 1 minute and 30 seconds of video.

On an off note, that PSU is borderline weak for that setup.
On topic, you only get this whine noise in FRAPS?

Yeah I already know about the PSU. I'll upgrade when I pick up another 580 for SLI ![]()
However, for now it's not the cause of this G930.
The only thing I can think of is the router i've got here. I'll test it later on tonight by turning it off and making a FRAPS video. I highly doubt it is, even if it is operating at 2.4 GHz~ frequency.
Only FRAPS has this issue, either that or it's not apparent to my friends.

Try recording some audio in windows sound recorder or audacity and listen back to it yourself to test.

Tested:
Record with router/possible interference devices = N/A
Showed video to friend to confirm that it does not occur in Ventrilo. = Yes, friend confirms it does not happen during Ventrilo.
G930 Software: Yes, voice preview does not have this issue.

Hello ItsJono:
Thank you for your patience!
I am sorry to hear that you are having an issue of buzzing/high pitched wine when recording in FRAPS. However, according to your posting it seems to work fine with ventrilo. Further, you tested it wth the G930 and the voice preview worked fine.
Therefore, we know the G930 works fine. It's unfortunate, that you still have your issue.
Regards,
Kevin

Yes, my G930 is fine and is at no fault currently to Logitech, however,
I was hoping more of a progressive approach, like:
"We, Logitech, understand from a technical standpoint as to why this is occuring on FRAPS. We have forwarded the conflict to FRAPs designers/coders in audio quality and potential reasons why FRAPS is recording sub-par audio from the build-in microphone. We hope that the creator of FRAPS will take into consideration this issue and will implement it as a fix for future G930 + FRAPS users".
Not, "Unit is okay, not our fault"
:/
