Was very excited today to replace my G35 with the new G930. Main reasons being the ridiiculous amount of twisting the cord would somehow do. I mean I am not spinning on my chair yet at least once every night I would have to unravel it...
So I have charged the headset fully. Uninstalled my G35 software and resintalled the new software for the G930 following the instructions. I plug in the dongle, switch the headset on...then nothing. They sit there and flash green at each other until the headset switches off several minutes later.
I have tried countless reinstalls. Installing from Disk and from the Site. Deleted any remnants of either headset from the registry and last and by no means least, I am sitting less than 3ft from the dongle at any given time, I've left them 3cm apart and still they will not connect...
Has anyone else had this trouble and if so...How on earth do I go about fixing it?
Regards
Ross

I didn't have any trouble installing mine, but I also didn't have a G35 before hand. What I would suggest trying is to unplug the USB and make sure the headset is off. Uninstall the software again. It might be beneficial to download the CCleaner program and let it clean out the old install stuff from the hard drive and registery, but that is a matter of preference and is probably not necessary. Once you have it removed I would reinstall the software and once it is done click finish. From there I would make sure the headset is turned on as the first time I did mine it gave me an error saying it couldn't find it and had to retry. So with the headset on first then reconnect the USB. Also make sure you plug this into the motherboard driectly to be sure it is getting enough power. From there you should see windows detect the new hardware and begin installing the drivers. Hope that gets you some better results.

I've now tried the above too, utilising CCleaner to be entirely sure of no registry remnants.
On all installs, The Headphones are picked up by the Windows Hardware Manager as a device (i.e The Donlgle connected to the base via USB) Both the Dongle and the headphones are idling as soon as you are prompted to reconnect and are flashing green.
I receive no messages from the G390 software suite regarding failed connection nor successful ones. In fact, I have never received any message regarding connections to the headset at all. It is as if they are running on different frequencies...

Do you have another computer that you can try it on like a laptop or anything? If you have one try installing the drivers on that machine and then after everything is installed make sure the headset is on and then connect the USB.
That will give you a better idea of where the problem lies.

This is what I did to fix the connection problem. Get a small paper clip. Insert in the reset hole on the dongle. The green light on the dongle should start flashing rapidly. Keep the the paper clip in the dongle and then press and hold the power button on the headset. The greem light on the headset should start flashing rapidly, within a few few seconds both lights should show solid green, and then the should be connected. It worked for me

Matt

The light will still blink when it does not have a connection, just slower. When it's blinking like that, if you press the button it doesn't start to blink more rapidly?

I have the same issue. The dongle will blink rapidly but when I hold down the power button on the headset it turns itself on and just starts blinking slowly, after a short bit the dongle changes from the rapidly flashing to the slow flash again. It will not connect, and I have also tried countless uninstalls and reinstalls of the drivers and software.
