G930 USB dock 'n dongle + Constant Disconnect Issue

Hiya guys (logitech); I'm still having the constant disconnect issue which the latest drivers still havent resolved. As a result I have to constantly plug in and out my USB dongle to get the headset to work like its meant to; this has resulted in my usb port and dongle becoming very flimsy and worn now way before its time as obviously it isnt designed to be plugged in and out  (x) amount of times a day, everyday since i've owned it.

 

When will this issue be resolved, I dont think its fair that when I buy your flagship headset that I should be having to be doing this all of the time.

 

Any ideas?

I'm having a similar issue. Headset disconnects randomly, the light on the dongle turns off. About 5 seconds later it comes back.

 

I sent my original headset back to Logitech for RMA but the replacement has the same issue. 

 

I'm trying to get logitech support to investigate further.

Hi Boumbles,


Do you have any other wireless devices in close proximity to the headset/receiver? Would it be possible to temporarily disable them to see what the culprit is? Most of the time it's caused by a wireless router, if that's the case you can try to change the wireless channel in the router configuration settings.

 

Another thing it may be is a USB power issue, ensure it's plugged directly into your computer and not through a USB hub or other pass-through device. You may also want to test it on a second computer just to confirm or rule that out as being the issue.

Things I have tried already

  1. Changing wireless channels of MY router (I can't exactly go door to door asking everybody to change theirs).
  2. Using all the USB ports on 3 different computers (total of about 26 ports (not on hubs))
  3. Turning off cellphones
  4. Exchanging the headset
  5. Using older versions of the software

Do you know why nobody is responding to case 120306-004743? It's been a week and a half.

I changed my wireless router to channel 11.  Problem solved  Not another disconnect.

I've tried every wireless channel but still have the issue. There are a lot of other routers in the area though so just because I changed my channel doesn't mean others did as well.
