G930 headset popping sounds.

ive been all over the forums looking for posts that solve this problem but i cant seem to fix it. i have done just about everything but pick up a powered usb hub. ive even used this headset on another computer and it comes up with a completely different issue *one sound channel is louder then the other* i dont know how long we have had the headset, i had to use it because my turtle beach headset broke.

software hasnt helped and im at a loss to this problem and im about **bleep** near ready to break the headset in half because its hurting my ears more then letting me listen to my music...

In the other computer it doesn't do the popping though?  If yes I think the powered hub is your only hope.

The right ear louder than the left is an error with the program you are using when outputing 7.1 to the headset.  There is a fix for this too but it isn't perfict.

I have determind that it is the software itself causing the problem. i went a whole day not using the gaming software and had no sound issuse... it seems what ever is part of the software on my machine is causing the popping noise. which is sad because i have the first gen g15 series gaming keyboard and it wont work w/o the software...

*edit* never today without the software it was doing it...

Re: G930 headset popping sounds.

I've been having similar problems, but mostly the sound on the right ear is louder, noticeably so compared to the left ear. I checked

This fix

It does seem to fix it but its annoying that I have to completely disable surround sound manually through windows and enable Channel phantoming.

Has anyone had any luck with alternative solutions? I loved being able to once upon a time turn Surround Sound on and off with the switch of a button. Now i have to go through windows and enable/disable stuff.
