I am having a similar problem. Every few seconds the sound will glitch and lose connectivity. I will experiment with turning my router on and off. Also will relocate the wireless receiver I am using.
Out of curiousity, what manufacturer is everyone's wireless routers?
How does the headset determine what wireless channel to use? Does it scan and pick the least used one?

Hi Charles,
I will attempt to answer the questions you asked to the OP hoping you can help me:
Do you have the USB receiver plugged into the charging base or directly into the PC
- I have tried connecting it both ways with no success
Do you have any other devices, like wireless routers, within a couple feet of the headset's receiver?
- I have moved them and turned them off. Still no success.
Have you tried this product on another PC?
- I tried it on a laptop and I walked away from my house and turned off the laptop's wireless card. Still no success.
Have you applied all microsoft hotfixes or updates to your system?
- My system is up to date, running Windows 7 64bit
Have you applied all motherboard updates to your system?
- I applied the most recent BIOs and driver updates to my system.
Thanks!
EDIT: Included a youtube video of what I am experiencing. The wireless device I am using to stream the music in the video is 20 feet away now.

So I exchanged the headset at Amazon and the new one works flawlessly. If anyone is having the same issues as I described above that is probably your best recourse.
Thanks!

I purchased the G930 headset a few days ago and had exactly the same problem. After doing some research and troubleshooting, I was able to resolve this issue by changing the channel that my wireless router uses. I use a Belkin wirless -N router, and here are the instructions: http://en-us-support.belkin.com/app/answers/detail
Apparently, these headsets are paired, and I don't think you can change the channel that the headphones use because it might cause conflicts at lan parties or in a room with other headsets. Also, these headsets use the 2.4 ghz part of the RF spectrum which happens to be the same as some routers.
I hope this helps.
F.

in my house the headset works wonderful except the tape recorder mic and the buttons not working. in my brother house, it was turning off every 10 min and i found out it was his tmobile router making it shut off. since he had a better router in the house also running he turned the tmobile router off and it never shut down again. now i had crackling sound too. i had the dongle plugged into this usb slot in front of the tower case then i switch it to the back of the computer where it would be directly plugged in the motherboard and crackling went away.

Mine cuts out about every 30 min or so. The sounds just stops and i hear a low beep or two like it lost it's connection and is trying to reconnect. After about 6 seconds it's back up and running. Its VERY annoying though. Im using the USB in the puck and it sits on top of my router. Going to try moving it. I have a Linksys router.

I just want to say I'm seeing a similar problem. Constant disconnects and reconnects. Disabled WiFi on router, tried with the dongle plugged into both the PC and G19 keyboard. System fully up to date. Unfortunately, I have no control over the neighbors wireless AP's. It would've been nice if Logitech had released a wireless utility so we can see exactly where interference might come from or manually select channels. As it is, I have no idea of figuring out if the unit itself is defective or if I'm just suffering from some bad interference. Even when it's not constantly dropping connection, the audio quality ranges from outstanding to horrible cracking. I'm assuming that's due to interference, but I have not way of testing for that.
Guess it's time to take it back to Best Buy.

I have the exact same problem. but, when i first bought my headset it worked fine. It definitely has its glitches, for example, turning it on is a pain in the * . It seems random, sometimes it will turn on the first touch of power button and some times i have to play with it, same for shutting down.
anyway, i fixed my problem with the random shut on off, it was my laptop's charger/power adapter. The cord runs apparently, I had my laptop sitting on my desk with the power cable running over the mouse and keyboard cables. I have the same problem with a logitech cordless mouse on my laptop, when the cable is near the reciever the mouse loses connection. maybe that will help you, check to make sure you pc's cables are not near any kind of charging device, also make sure no charging devices are pluged into the same circuit your pc is plugged into.

I am currently having this issue too, ( along with the sound filter not working, unless using voice morphing ).
Do you have the USB receiver plugged into the charging base or directly into the PC?
Charging base, which is then connected to the back of my PC, directly into the board, not into the case usb ports.
Do you have any other devices, like wireless routers, within a couple feet of the headset's receiver?
router ( D-Link DGL-4500 ) is ~7 feet away, BUT the g700 receiver is inches away from it..
Have you tried this product on another PC?
No. But do not spend enough time near any other PC to be able to test it.
Have you applied all microsoft hotfixes or updates to your system?
Yes. ( OS is Windows 7 Ultimate x64 )
Have you applied all motherboard updates to your system?
Yes, I am on the newest BIOS update, and all new drivers.
System:
I7-930
ASUS P6X58D-E
CORSAIR XMS3 12GB
Intel X25-M 80GB
KINGWIN Mach 1 ABT-1000MA1S 1000W
EVGA GTX 480
300GB Raptor
1TB Hitachi Green
Let me know if you need anymore information, I would love to help get these couple of issues fixed, I have always loved Logitech and their products, don't fail me now ![]()

I'm confused here Charles is he/she not talking about the Auto shut off feature? Because It cuts out on me every 10 mins if I'm just using the mic. I hope you put a toggle for that auto shut off soon, tired of end up talking to myself in ventrilo.
