Hello -
I hope that some who have had problems are still keeping up with this thread. I think I have isolated the problem with my headphones, and perhaps my experiments will be helpful.
I unplugged all of my USB cables, except for my headset's nano reciever and the usb nano reciever for my Logitech wireless mouse. When I rebooted my computer, my headset worked perfectly. After some experimentation (shut down, plug in one usb device, reboot, try headphones, rinse, repeat), I found that the headset conflicts with my Wacom Intos 3 graphics tablet, but only if the tablet is plugged in during the boot process. I can plug it in after the computer has booted, and everything works fine.
I doubt the Wacom tablet issue applies to everyone here. But, in my case, unplugging all other USB devices and rebooting helped me to isolate the problem and discover exactly where the conflict was occuring.
If anyone from Logitech or this forum can help to solve the Wacom tablet conflict, it would be much appreciated. It would also be much appreciated if Logitech would tell us up-front about any known hardware conflicts like this, but that might be too much to ask.
Hope this helps!

mine sounds fine in USB mode, but bluetooth gives me distorted sound.
i have nothing else connected to bluetooth on the computer, and bluetooth via Samsung Galaxy s3 mobile phone works perfectly with headset.
I get two settings in Mac sound preferences, "Headset" and "Headphones". When bluetooth headphones are selected, quality is perfect. when i select headset it distorts.
it won't let me set output to headphones and input to headset.

I too am having problems with the H800 headset. The first one worked for about 30 days before I experienced problems. I contacted Logitech support and after troubleshooting they determined I had a defective headset. Unfortunately, I purchased the headset on eBay but the seller did send me a new replacement headset. I used the new headset on a call this morning and it worked fine. Not so lucky on the second call. Again, the computer would not recognize the headet and the sound was going over my PC speakers and mic. The application I am using for calls is Microsoft Office Communicator (now know as Lync). I also have a H600 headset and it has worked flawlessly.
