"I wonder how many pages long this thread will have to get to get noticed by Logitech."
Just the burning question isn't it, maybe once the page count hits the 2nd digit?
Would still be appreciated if developers would take notice of the g930 faulty mic (no noise cancellation if w/out voice mask) and g930 faulty left speaker (constant buzzing in left earpiece, an audiophile's nightmare), and if possible to find a way to increase mic quality above "Tape Recorder".
Browsing these forums I've found from one of CharlesB's posts that it's due to the bandwidth required to transmit the sound which cannot exceed past a certain limit apparently. So I'm wondering, if you can't get the mic above a certain quality level to transmit wirelessly, is it possible to do it while wired (via the cable that plugs into the headset).
I, like many others, have been misled into buying what was apparently a quality product. Unless Logitech doesn't pay any attention to these posts (right now any post from a dev/moderator stating whatever updates have been made would be very much appreciated) then I (like many others) will probably opt in buying other branded hardware in the future due to lack of customer satisfaction.
I am aware that these forums were intended mostly for a user-to-user communication platform, but its usage as a feedback generator should not be ignored, but exploited to better your products. Also, ringing technical support does not help in the slightest (even more so as I reside in Australia), just the usual "return your product to get a new one" generated garbage.
We've been extremely patient with you and believe we deserve a response regarding the g930's faults. Please address them ASAP.
tl;dr: Please pay attention (on the forums) to the loyal customers like myself (mouse, keyboard and joystick lol are all Logitech) who haven't yet tossed your worst released product yet.

This is simply ridiculous. I was actually about to buy this headset on Newegg before I noticed a few noise canceling complaints. Now I realize that since I'm using Windows 7 x64 I wouldn't be able to use the mic on skype or ventrilo without plaguing everyone's ears with constant static.
For a $130 headset you would expect better support, it sounds like Logitech is well aware of the problem, yet they haven't even issued the quick fix of adding in a fake voice modifier.
I am pretty disappointed. I've seen so many great reviews of this headset, but until they fix this whole mess I'm going to have to hold off.

After weeks of trying to fix the problems associated with the G930 headphones I finally decided to return my headset (I'm really glad that Amazon has a great return policy and gave me a full refund). I must say that I'm very disappointment and frustrated with Logitech. In future I will be much more cautions when buying Logitech products and I will no longer recommend them to my family and friends like I did before.
For those who are stuck with the headset, here is the last answer I got from Logitech customer support (01/25/2011):
"I do understand where you are coming from. Yes, the engineering team is aware of this matter, and I have also forwarded your concern to them. However, I am not sure if when will the last update will be released, but I am sure that there will be a solution to this issue. However, I'm very sorry if I cannot provide you the exact date on when the patch will be available."
Before I had asked several times if Logitech was currently working on improving the mic quality and if there will be any updates of the G930 drivers/software before February. First I only got the suggestion that there "might be a problem with the driver of the sound card" and after explaining the problem again I was offered a replacement. I had to write another message before I got the statement above.

I got the headset today and can confirm that I have the same issue.
Will be returning it on monday unless (unlikely as I've seen) a solution is made available.

Sorry but doublepost but I wanted to let you guys know that the issue I have only shows with the G930 software when you turn on "hear own voice".
When I'm talking to mates on skype and recording I get absolutely perfect sound quality with no background noise of any sort.

Still waiting for word from Logitech on this. Getting very frustrated with the lack of communication.
While I love the Logitech mice, and have been using them for 15 years, this is really making me consider supporting them as a company.
Please Logitech, talk to us, give us some word other than a canned comment about checking the forums.

I was about to pull the plug and buy these on Amazon until I read about the problem. Right now I am going to wait and look at other options for wireless headphones, I don't want to end up with a pair of $120 turkeys.

Seriously, 10 pages and not so much as an update in the last 3 months?
Absurd and a complete waste of money considering they are not usable in Ventrilo or Teamspeak.
Guess I should have purchased a gaming headset.......

Recently bought the G930 and i am having a ton of problem with it (noise canceling, noise when sound is silent, mute button not working, "broken" volume wheel, problems with connecting requiring several restarts). Contacted the logitech telephone support (in Sweden where i live) and they seemed to be completely unaware of this problem. I have now submitted a number of logs from my computer to them. What makes me a bit sad is that they first told me that it was a hardware problem and had me change the headset. The new one I recieved have a volume wheel that gets "stuck" once in a while.. And ofcourse the guy in the store refuses to change it again... Sigh. I will give this a few days so Logitech can get back to me, after that i will be looking for a full refund...
Anyhow, my main point here is: Everyone that has one of these headsets needs to urgently contact Logitech and make them aware of all those issues. Just writing on this forum isn't going to help since Logitech hardly seem to monitor it at all. Also, you guys out there that already filed a complaint with Logitech, make sure to update it once a week or they will remowe it!
