Headphones are plugged directly into Mac, selectable in Sound panel, outputs fine through the headphones but doesn't register an input level (but is selected as an input).
Red light on the mouthpiece is on. I've used other mics, including USB such as USB Samson, without problem.
10.4.11, G5.

Hello RandNotAyn,
The red light on the mouthpiece means that the mic is muted. Please check the on ear controls and the mute function of the application that you are using.

I am also having problems but mac does not see my headset in as an "output" or an "input". It used to do so but doesn't anymore. I noticed in a Mac chat that other people have had trouble with their headphone in this way, but rebooting or putting the laptop to sleep and waking it up again doesnt work for me. Note this has nothing to do with the application or headset being on mute or unmuted.

Hello Sassafras,
If possible, please try your headset on a different computer, if the issue follows the headset, this would indicate a hardware problem. Please contact Logitech Customer Care for your region.
