Is there a FIX for the Runtime Error with LGS 8.20 ?

[ Edited ]

So i bought a shiny new G35, but can´t use all of the features because there´s no way i can get the LGS 8.12 to run.

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error"

Also, i don´t want to lower UAC-Settings for a logitech-software.

On a sidenote:

LGS 8.00 seems to run fine, but doesn´t support the G35 (only the G15v1 i´m using).

Please help me with this issue.

Edit : Same Problem with 8.20

Re: Is there a FIX for the Runtime Error with LGS 8.12 ?

I know this may sound stupid, but have you tried restarting your computer? Recently, I've found that any application which re-installs a C++ redistributable will not run until after I've restarted my computer.

What version of windows are you using? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

Is Windows up-to-date, or are there new Windows Updates available?

If you go to add/remove programs and look for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable, do you see v9.0.30729.6161 listed? This update was released just days after LGS 8.0, so I'm wondering if you may be using an out-of-date runtime library which supports 8.0 but not 8.12. Just a shot in the dark.

Hey,

.) but have you tried restarting your computer?

Yes, several times.

.) Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

Windows7 Ultimate 64-Bit.

.) do you see v9.0.30729.6161 listed?

Yes, both the x86 and x64 versions.

Still no luck with LGS 8.12

Hello joessas,

Please try running the Logitech Gaming Software in administration mode . Please see : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/How-do-I-run-an-application-once-with-a-full-administrat...

You could also lower or turn UAC off .

joessas, do you still see the runtime issue with 8.20? And does turning off the 'enable enhanced graphics' make things better?

Re: Is there a FIX for the Runtime Error with LGS 8.12 ?

Still no love for me.

Installing as administrator seemed to fix the problem. But on the first reboot -> same problem. At least i saw how LGS COULD look like on my system.

When then trying to run the LGS as administrator nothing happens.

Also, im not lowering my security settings of windows because of some headphone-drivers.

Am i really the only one with this problem ?

@Logitech-Staff : Can i provide you any information regarding my system that could help you ? Please let me know.
