Try to install with attached any other G-Series input device (like a G13)... i do not have any problems on this way...
good luck... ;P

Two annoying issues from previous version using g930:
1. No way to see if you're in surround mode or stero mode by looking at system tray icon. With the old version, the system tray icon turned red when in surround mode. This is a simple, useful feature...why remove it?
2. g-keys don't work in winamp, but they did in the previous version of the g930 software. Again, why are NEW versions DECREASING functionality?
Please add both of these OLD features into your NEW software.

natethegreatess ref still getting crackling on g930 - is this all the time?
Last night I noticed I was getting cracking as I scroll with my Anywhere Mouse. I've been testing this AM and it seems that it does not occur with all applications, so far only scrolling in FireFox seems to produce the issue, Chrome and IE do NOT have the cracking issue. My testing is far from completed at this time.

I was so happy to see 8.2 actually fix some of the issues with the G buttons and Windows 7.
However, the input volume in all of my games went to garbage. No one could hear me in any program that didn't allow total customization of voice (like ventrilo or teamspeak)
I'm back to windows sound and have prevented LGS 8.2 from loading at startup.
the physical headphones are great, but logitech software has been a complete let down.

I have my G930 since August 2011. A week ago (could be two weeks ago) the LGS didn't start up anymore. Since then I deinstalled everything and installed everything. About 10 times or more.... I did it over and over again, trying it with numerous drivers and with almost all tips provided in this forum. The software does not start up anymore. Well I could live with that because my G930 was still functioning as before. So I thought... Not even a week ago my right ear cup went silent. I had this issue before and back then I fixed it by installing the latest driver. But now nothing seems to work. When I turn on the headset I hear it cracking in both ear cups, just like normal. But every sound after this comes exclusively from the left side. Now I don't know if the LGS problem and the right-side-problem are connected or not, but I sure know that it is driving me insane since this headset war pretty expensive. I contacted the support and they wrote to test it out on a different PC which I can't do, because there is no other PC in this house. I have read in this forum, that the right-side issue is most often a driver problem and not the hardware's fault. But before I try to send it back, could someone tell me if there is anything I can do to fix both problems?

I just reverted back to the g930_100358_x64 drivers with the G930-AntiShutOff function created by another G930 owner. With the LGS 8.20 drivers my headset will automatically poweroff while I'm teaching a class via VoIP (e.g. while I'm actually talking it will poweroff) and my client finds this as totally unacceptable. In that this is super critical for me I had to revert back to the last known working solution for me. The g930_100364b_x64 drivers create other unacceptable issues for me.

popc02n - you can try an earlier set of drivers. I just reverted to an earlier set of drivers to fix an autopower off issue I have with the LGS drivers (see my above post). Personally I suspect you have a defective headset.

I just installed the driver that you mentioned in your post earlier and now, thank you very much, the right side is working again!
I am happy that it isn't really defective and I wonder why I didn't try this driver version earlier.
Now the only problem left is the software. It just doesn't start and therefore I can't use the buttons except the wheel to turn up the volume. Sometimes i get the message to disconnect the USB connection and try it again. I think somewhere in this forum are threads for this topic. It seems I have to read some more. Thanks again.

popc02n - It sounds like you are now on the correct path.
Did you first uninstall the LGS 8.2 drivers? If not, create a restore point, uninstall ALL G930 drivers, reboot (just to be on the safe side), after rebooting again create a restore point (more safety), install the earlier drivers and test.
If this does not resove the issue you might try a registry cleaner application. I've encountered some major issues (dead system) after using some thus PLEASE make sure you have a system backup that you can use for recovery if necessary, of course if neccessary to recover the total system you need to recover to a clean drive, not the current drive in your system. You'll want to keep your current drive for a fallback plan.
For me, earlier tonight I uninstalled LGS 8.2 (through the control panel), installed the g930_100358_x64 driver and the G930-AntiShutOff application (no reboots). I did have to go into the Control Panel > Sound and select my G930 to get the sound in the headset. With the LGS 8.2 I did NOT have to go into the Control Panel, it just worked.
Currently I'm at the point where I must reboot my system because I see some other application issues and a reboot should clear these issues. I've been running some special network traces and the test has stopped running.
