Okay, so this has been brought up multiple times now in this forum,
the Logitech Support Team really should look into this matter.
The Logitech G35 seems to have either a driver or a hardware fault regarding the stereo switch.
When Stereo (instead of 7.1) is activated through the switch on the headset, under certain conditions, the center channel is entirely being moved to the right.
For example, if you use Teamspeak, you have different output options (DirectSound and Windows Multimedia).
When using "Windows Multimedia", the output is assigned to every channel.
However, when using "DirectSound" (which is default for teamspeak), only the Center Channel/Speaker is used, and for some reason, it is being moved entirely to the Right Headset Ear.
Another example: Call of Duty: Black Ops.
All sounds that come from your side (such as footsteps, gun shots etc.) mainly use the Center Channel/Speaker. When Stereo is enabled, the Center Channel is completely moved to the Right Headset Ear.
Another example (I could go on even longer, this issue affects the majority of video games / programs out there): Aion
Just like in Black Ops, the Footsteps, Skills etc. are usually being played through the Center Channel/Speaker. In Stereo Mode though, everything that is supposed to be played through the Center Channel/Speaker is being moved to the Right Headset Ear.
Just for proof: I have a friend who originally recommended me the headset shortly after buying it (not knowing about the issue back then), and he has the exact same issue. I've stumbled over many threads in this forum from people who had the same issue but never got any response. The Model Number which is printed on my Headset is "ML049", if this helps in any way. I also tried multiple versions (as well as the latest) of the drivers available.
Please, Logitech Support Team, respond to us and forward this to the Tech Team, something has to be done there.
Thanks in advance!

I have G35s, Teamspeak and Black Ops, I cannot reproduce this issue.
My model number is A-00016 for comparison, where are you finding your model number?
EDIT: Nevermind, managed to get this issue in Teamspeak, unsure about in games.

Hello theKraid;
Thsnk you for your patience!
I am sorry to hear that your G35 center speaker audio is periodically being moved to the right ear.
What i might suggest is that you roll back the software version to an earlier version such as G35 v100 or G35 v10009(see link below).
ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/joystick/
I am also going to ask that you try your G35 on another computer for troubleshooting purposes.
Regards,
Kevin

Hey! Thank you so far ![]()
I will report back in a few minutes after trying the "G35 v100" and "G35 v10009" drivers.
Then, after replying, I will try other programs as well.

Okay, so...
there is no x64 v100 driver avilable, so I went for the "g35_10009_x64".
Sadly, the problem persists.
I'll report back in a few minutes with other games and programs I find that have this problem.

Crysis is affected as well.
Edit:
Unreal Tournament 3 is not affected. (by the way, it is a good example for a game that sounds way better in stereo)
Edit:
Counter-Strike: Source is not affected, no matter the audio settings.
Edit:
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is affected! ![]()
Edit:
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is affected! (tested with "Home Cinema" audio setting)
Edit:
Dead Space does not seem to be affected, however it is hard to tell.
I'd like to keep going, but I really need to get to sleep now. I'll help as much as I can once I return from work tomorrow. (which should be 12 hours from now).
So far, thank you for the support!

Hello theKraid:
Thank you for the information you provided above.
Unfortunately, because there are a few games where the sound works fine, such as Unreal Tournament 3 and Counter-Strike: Source, we know the G35 is working as planned. The remainder of your games you most likely will have to either contact the vendor or search the intenet for solutions because there could be a couple of reasons why:
1) some kind of signal loss
2) updates to the games
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Kevin

I can assure you that this is not the fault of the games themselves, as this affects so many of them.
I beg you, please, have another look into it. What if this is caused in combination with a certain audio codec? (just a wild speculation)
As this affects only some games, we at least know that it is no hardware fault.
This way, it has to be fixable on a software basis.
