Logitech G930 Bass Crackle/Distortion with Bass at 0db

Recently my Logitech G930 has been having some serious bass issues - whenever I play something with even a hint of bass in it, the subwoofer (I think) creates this horrible crackling noise...and I keep the bass at 0db (in fact, I don't mess with the equaliztion settings AT ALL) and the volume low, and I've never turned the bass up or put the headset up to full volume. I tried updating the software, new USB ports, unistalling and reinstalling, the whole nine yards. It sounds like the sub is blown, but I do not think this is the case because I seem to remember that it used to do this with my old piece-of-crap laptop...I can get it to not crackle by turning on "Bass Management," but it sounds terrible, like I have no subwoofer at all. I also keep my WiFi set to a specific channel because the headset (being wireless) interferes with my WiFi connection when my router's channel is set to "Auto"...if that bit of info even helps.

Any ideas, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

try this with windows media player, the issue seems to be flash only for most of us...

I already tried putting the equalizer to the settings shown in your video (someone else posted that exact same "fix"), but it doesn't work...it makes the crackling a little better, but it by no means fixes the problem...I do now believe it is a problem with Flash/Google Chrome, because it was working fine with Internet Explorer...the weird part is that it never had this problem before...

I've also got crackling with the bass while listening to music :smileysad:

Any drivers or guides to fix this please?

I downgraded my flash player from 11.3 to 10.3 and that fixed the problem. Uninstall your current flash player using this http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html and here's a download to flash player 10.3 http://forums.adobe.com/thread/889580 . Hope this solves your problem :smileyhappy:

Yes, this fixed it! Thank you! If anybody else is getting distortion notably during things like YouTube videos, it's Flash, not the headset or its software.

Thanks for posting this.  I had my equalizer set before to help with this problem, but noticed the problem again recently.  This fixed it again.

Its kind of ridiculous that they don't put any driver updates for these problems.  Its like they don't care.
