I plug it in and it says that the drives and such have been properly installed. But then my audio is disabled and it when I click on my speaker on the toolbar it tries to troubleshoot. I have gone into sounds in the control panel and it doesn't recognize what kind of audio device it is. But when I click on the device it says it's enabled and all that good stuff. This is supremely disappointing from a device that is supposed to be "plug and play" and yet, it can't even install itself correctly or work properly at all.

I have the same issue. I used to be able to plug in and unplug a few times to resolve the recognition issue but that is not working as well anymore. That is to say that if I unplugged and plugged in repeatedly (3-8 times) then the OS would eventually recognize the device. Now and I up to 40-50 plug and unplug events before I get device recognition. There has to be a less brute force and ignorant way to get the device recognized.

H390 is one of the worst headphone I ever used.
1. Dell not able to recognize it.
