Yea I tried that on both usb ports and it doesn't make a difference. It re-installs the drivers just fine after doing that. But, it still sounds terrible in comparison to how it sounds with the 2010 g35.
You guys should test it out in your labs. With the old driver things sound balanced. With LGS 8.12 everything sounds just absolutely terrible.

Can you post your drivers from 2010? Mine are from 2009, be nice to have something a little bit more up-to-date.

You can get all the old drivers from here:
ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/headsets/
Don't download the ones with a J on it unless you speak japenese lol.

I have the same problem with the latest software version... Have to use the old G35 settings utility in order for it work properly.

I have the same, updated to LGS because I got a G19. Currently I set bass to -3 so it's bearable, but sound quality is really bad with LGS.
Logitech, why not Copy & Paste old G35 drivers to the LGS, it can't be that hard.
Greetings,
Melvin.

After messing around for a while, I think I found some sort of fix.
Shut down LGS
Go to "C:\Program Files\Logitech Gaming Software\Resources" and delete the G35 folder.
(Optional: start LGS if you need it for for example your G19)
Go to ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/headsets/
Download either "g35_101178.exe" or "g35_101178_x64.exe" (might work with other versions).
Install and reboot your pc, it uses old drivers for G-keys and sound, if you enabled the option that your hear "beep" when you mute/unmute, you'll still hear it.
EDIT: After rebooting again, the "beep" while muting/unmuting is also gone.
EDIT2: For the G930, I assume that you only need to delete the G930 folder, after that:
- Install either "g930_100364b.exe" or "g930_100364b_x64.exe" (I think this is a beta version).
- Or install "g930_100358.exe" or "g930_100358_x64.exe" (Probably the latest 'normal' release).
Greetings,
Melvin.

Hi, just got a pair of these (g35) and installed latest software (8.20.74).
Have you guys tried this version, they sound pretty good to me?
Will I hear better audio quality if I downgrade to the older version specified? I just want to make sure as everything is running pretty smoothly and don't want to 'break' anything - Thanks!

The audio quality will be much much better when you downgrade, if you have for example a G19, so you need LGS. see my post above to make them work together. otherwise just uninstall LGS and download the latest drivers.
Make sure you download the correct version (32-bit and 64-bit), the links are in the post above.
Greetings,
Melvin.

I downgraded to the old drivers today and everything does sound much better!
I'm not sure if it's just my imagination but the sound seems more alive and clearer.
Think I'll stick with this version - thanks for the info!
