Premium Stereo Headset -- Microphone echoes computer's sounds.

[ Edited ]

I recently bought Logitech's Premium Stereo Headset and so far, like them a lot. They're not expensive, comfortable, light, great sound quality, etc...

However, when I tested the microphone, I had two big problems.

1- The sensitivity of the microphone is extremely low for how far it is from the mouth.

This issue was kind of fixed easily though. I simply had to put on Microphone Boost and put the volume up, but my voice is still barely heard in any application without Outbound Amplifiers. This means that programs like Ventrilo are pretty much the only way to be heard correctly without any problems.

2- The microphone echoes every single sound currently playing on my computer.

I can't find a working fix for this issue. This means I can't listen to music while using my microphone. As soon as I'd use my microphone, the music or the sounds of a game or of a flash animation or video on the web, they will all be heard by both me and the people listening. This is extremely annoying and I want to fix it as fast as possible.

Please help!

Re: Premium Stereo Headset -- Microphone echoes computer's sounds.

Found out the problem. The microphone itself was the not functioning properly, so I used my guarantee to change the headset for another pair of the same model. It is now working properly.

Thanks for the help...? >.>
