There is no point in getting a sound card if you just want to plug in the headphones.
They are USB. So plug them into the USB slot. That is the whole point of USB headphones.
You won't be able to use the headphones with a sound card. Sound cards are for things with jack plugs, digital audio or other stuff.
Before getting a sound card, look at the existing plugs and sockets on your PC. Try anything you want to connect on them first. Only then consider a sound card if the results do not appeal to you.
In any case, a cheap sound card is not going to be greatly different from any on-board sound.

i was intending to get the Creative's Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium .
i intended to use the card for gaming to put the 7.1 to its best use , as at the moment iam using the onboard 5.1 sound .
do you think it would be a waste of money to get the sound card then .

It will be a waste of money if you plan to use the headphones with the sound card.
If you plan to use 5:1 speakers you might get some benefit, but sound cards really only come into their own when you are doing clever things like recording sounds or mixing different inputs.
As I said before, I would try the sound system with the on-board audio. If you are not satisfied, then think about buying a sound card.
This really isn't the best place to get expert advice on sound cards. I suggest sniffing around some of the sites where they talk about games and sounds.

These headphones have a built in sound card. Adding a sound card to your PC would be all but useless unless you have a speaker system. But it won't do anything for your headphones.
