I have the Logitech F540 and when I bought it, I had a PS3, so I didn't think I needed the Xbox 360 voice cable (But I thought I kept it anyway).  So, I recently bought an Xbox 360 and I can't seem to find the cable...I called Logitech to see if they could sell me a new one and they said they could just replace the whole headset with a new one because it's still under warranty, but I went to Best Buy and they couldn't print me a receipt of the sale, so now I guess I can't get warranty service.  I've tried looking around for a cheap 2.5mm cable but I can't find one.  I've found like 6'+ cables on Amazon, but I don't want a 6' cable...I want like a 1-2' cable...I can't seem to find one anywhere...Can anyone lead me towards a good, cheap 2.5mm cable?

no.  That's 2.5mm to 3.5mm male/female.  I need 2.5mm to 2.5mm male/male.

I used this one to fix the problem for my headset and my nephews. Hope this helps some people.

I have the F540 headset. My mic worked fine until one day, no one could hear me. I didn't do anything different with the connections from the time it worked perfectly to the time it stopped working. Nothing was touched or moved, the mic just stopped working. I can still hear the game and myself in the headset. I even tried using different controllers and the mic wouldn't work.

That cable does not fit the headset. Even viewing the image of the cable on amazon you can see that it is too thick and doesn't fit the port in the headset. The part I am reffering to as too big, is the black part right before the metal connection. I purchased that cable and I cut the rubber to make it fit my headset. Then it still didn't work. When you insert it into the headset and the controller, the fit is not snug and falls out very easily.

I just ordered the cable directly from Logitech. I hope it works.
