Whining Logitech ClearChat Comfort/USB Headset H390

I just bought a Logitech ClearChat Comfort/USB Headset H390 (Black) from amazaon and
immediately on installation on my HP TouchSmart 610 Windows 7-64 it had static,... but after a
few minutes it is a whine that is basically the same volume a what I trying to listen to.
There does not appear to be any softwaref or this USB device here on the the Logitech page.
Any ideas?

Re: Whining Logitech ClearChat Comfort/USB Headset H390

Hi CanadianKen,

Have you tried different USB ports? Ensure the headset is plugged directly into the computer and not through a USB hub. As well you may want to try testing the headset on a second computer to rule out a hardware defect.

Yes, guess I should of known when it did not work in another computer, it must of been the headset.  The replacement works great!
