Re: Wireless H800 Headphones, continuous problems

Hi, I've got a mic problem with the H800.

The mic is not loud enough. I have to "shout" to be understood.

Is it possible to enable the +20db boost under WinXP ?

With this headset there is no similar option available.

Re: Wireless H800 Headphones, continuous problems

I just bought the headset today. Tried to pair it with my MacBook and it worked fine. I just realized one thing which is really annoying. In my "Sound Settings" I can choose two options - H800 and H800 Stereo. If I pick H800 stereo the sound quality is really good and I can listen to my music on iTunes. But I won't be able to use Skype. If I want to use Skype I can't hear anything. To use Skype I have to switch it back to "mono". By doing that I can't listen to music though (well, I can but it's a bloody pain). So I basically have to switch between and quit iTunes and Skype to make it work. That's really annoying and not well thought through....

So the only way is to use the USB key, but I actually bought the Bloothooth version so that I DID NOT have to use the stupid key....

Re: Wireless H800 Headphones, continuous problems

[ Edited ]

Purchased this thing yesterday. Works "ok" using the dongle on the PC. Mic is terrible. When it's maxed out it hardly picks up on voice. The Bluetooth is a nightmare-and-a-half. I have a Vizio tv with Bluetooth. I have 4 different things attached via Bluetooth to it, 4 different manufactures (non logitech) and they all work flawlessly every single time. However this headset, after pairing it just fine, fails miserably. If I turn the tv off and then back on, the H800 will go back into connected mode, but no sound. One ends up having to unpair the unit and then repair it again...over...and over...and over...and over. It's become PAINFULLY obvious that Logitech is hiring EXTREMELY cheap labor in all categories. Now it's in the engineering of products. They're paying the Chinese and the Indians pennies and hour to write the code for, design the hardware for and implement the product. It's become really really bad. I was a long time Logitech customer. Since the beginning, when they made killer products. Shoot, their own "support" department were the ones that informed me of the cheap labor practices they are now using in terms of engineering the products. Anyway, long story longer, I'm returning this $100.00 pile of 9 cent plastic and never buying another logitech item again. It's simply no where near justifiable to do so anymore when one can go out and buy the same garbage from an off-brand made-in-tawain pile of junk at the 99 cent store for the SAME EXACT quality. Also writing a letter to the corporate offices. Will get me nowhere, ofcourse, as they don't care anymore. It's crap like this that infuriates the consumer, and is also a catalyst for someone going to the "Occupy Wall Street" movements. It's completely insane what the general public now puts up with. The new "norm" is garbage and sub-standard products. I guess the old saying is true....if ya feed people (edited for word filter evasion) long enough, they begin to like it. Shame on you Logitech, shame on you.

Re: Wireless H800 Headphones, continuous problems

Almost my external devices on PC are from Logitech...(both home and workplace), Keyboards, mice, 2 speaker+subwoofer, other cable headset

I have purchased H800 two weeks ago, and i can´t get they work fine...

First, the change between HD Realteck Sound (default audio device) an L.H800 is not automatic when de  headphones is out, i have to switch manually in audio properties settings. When the common headphones are unpluged, audio return to speakers and audio default device.

Second, audio controls (specially volume controls) don´t work with standart media players as winamp (i use pro version) or windowsmedia player. (v.11) After installing pairing softw, pause-play, previous-next track working properly.

Third, manual and instructions are poor on details and problem solving...

Please, We need a revision of drivers and program software.

It isn´t a cheap headset for such a poor functioning.

From Spain. Regards

Re: Wireless H800 Headphones, continuous problems

saw quite a few issues with H800. was thinking about getting them.  does anybody have experience on using them with Mac OSX ? because in windows world the problem often not with product but with windows drivers or how they were validated / tested. in the past Apple was better at it, but one never knows. If anybody tried them with Mac , please share experience

Re: Wireless H800 Headphones, continuous problems

FYI, I bought these and have paired them with my iPhone 4, iPad, iMac with no problems via BlueTooth.  It was very straight forward.  I will mention that you need to give it a minute or two for it to be recognize.  I thought I was having problems and about the time I started to check or redo the process, it recognized and paired.  To get the headset to pair, you just hold '+' (volume) and the forward button '>>' at same time to get light flashing and start pairing process. FYI.

I have also paired them with Win 7.  I have Win 7 running in BootCamp and was having trouble setting up via BlueTooth?  Perhaps as I am not as familiar with Win7 as XP.  Anyway, I used the nano-receiver that came with it and it recognized and paired with no problems.

Quality wise?  I am very happy with the quality of sound/mic.  I do like that there is a slide switch for the BlueTooth/Nano option and tied in with on/off switch.  Other headsets are not as easy to know if you actually turned them off (then run out of battery upon next use).  I also like that I don't have the sequences of push this so many times to turn on/off, pair etc.

Hope it is helpful
