Wireless H800. Is there any way to quickly toggle between headphone speakers and computer speakers?

The only way I've found so far to switch back to computer speakers after using my headphones is to unplug the tiny usb transmitter. I bought this pair in part because I could just keep the transmitter in, but I cannot do so. It would be nice if, when one turns off the headset, sound would automatically go back to the computer speakers. I don't have bluetooth on my comp either. Has anyone found a way around this?

Thanks!

You can probably achieve this by switching between the two in Windows. No need to unplug receivers, but still a bit long winded.

It helps to enable the "Sound" icon in the "Notification Area".

Then right click the icon, go to "Playback Devices" and tell Windows which to use.

On automatically switching, if you use the headset to listen to one source and the speakers to something else, maybe you can set the destination in the software you use.

This is how I set things in the transcription software I use with the H600.

It is a pity Windows has never got to grips with sound devices.

This is logitech's responsibility. There should be an app that detects whether the speaker is connected or not. If not it shoudl revert to the previous default and if the headset gets connected it should automatically switch to the speaker. (of course this functionality would be optional).

Does Logitech read these forums or is there a better way to make suggestions? If such an app does exist please tell me.

I have to agree there. This problem, and others with directing sounds to the right place, must be one of the most common hereabouts

Providing a simply "toggle" program that works with all the other stuff that people use for sounds seems to be something that a hardware supplier should offer.

I wouldn't say that if Windows made it easy to do that sort of thing, but sound control has never been a strong point at Microsoft.

The problem may be that users have a mess of different sound stuff. But that doesn't mean that Logitech shouldn't at least try it. Or provide some simple guidance.
