Hello,
I very recently purchuased a headset ((Laptop headset H555) and the micophone seems to be barely working.
Ive turned up the levels to maximum but there's hardly any imput detected.
I can't quite figure out what im doing wrong. Is their a fault in the micophone and should I return it?
Does anyone know what to do?

Hello Fizzlefuse
Try the following trubleshoointg steps and see if it resolves the issue:
1. Make sure the microphone of the H555 Laptop Headset is set as the default recording device.
-For Windows XP Go to Start> Control Panel> Sound and Audio Devices>Audio
-For Windows Vista/Windows 7 Go to Start> Control Panel> hardware and Sound>Sound> Recording Tab
2. Try plugging the headset in to different USB ports
3. Make sure the microphone is not on mute.
4. Test the microphone on different applications.
5. Test the headset on another computer too if possible.
If the microphone still is not working after troubleshooting and it's a possible hardware failure, please contact the Logitech Support team of your region (refer here) for any warranty claims.
